Angry Ellie..

As you can see, Ellie's looking a little peeved. Why?? Because Daddy and Mummy changed and was poised to chiong out of the door and go shopping but dear Daddy had to take some pictures and thus depriving her of shopping time...(to ladies...a few minutes can mean having to choose between a rock and a hard place). So its basically not even a choice to begin with when it comes to shopping. Yeah yeah...me exagerrating again.

Anyway, thats Ellie with a sombre expression this time round. Well, its not always to rosy in life. But she's still a charm isn't she?

Seagate

Dec 2000 to Oct 2007 :

This period depicts one of the most precious times of my life. During this journey, I grew up from an ignorant post diploma student to a grateful engineer in a team that I am pretty sure, cannot be replicated anywhere else. This stems from the diversity of our nationalities and ages which helped to make the working experience all the more memorable. But a common core attribute arises from the good "mix" and it's something simple called friendship. There is a transparent hierarchical wall between various levels and is especially pronounced from management downwards which I find particularly hard to leave behind. Can you imagine a place where you can actually call your senior managers "bro" and breathe easy that they will not be feeling any disrespect, well...don't have to imagine because I was a part of it. And on the contrary, I believe we had thrived on this easiness and turned serious where push came to shove was necessary so it's really great to have worked in a friendly environment behind a professional facade.

Tomorrow's my reservist (7th High Key Training) so by all rights, it should be my last but then its National Service which we are talking about so who knows right?

This year has a few significant milestones in my life and am sure more will come as a progression of my story.

Thank you all in Seagate Science Park Mechanical Team past and present! It has been GREAT!

Bamboo bum

Courtesy of Lim Ma Ma aka Evelyn's mum. Ellie loves her bamboo throne which is as tough as nails on steriods. It keeps her in check while giving her the circulation around her big badass butt. Pardon the french. This chair is definitely staying for generations to come...hmmm...antique candidate possibility? The Lim Heirloom? Many babies have warmed their butts on this before...

Do the Hop!

Ellie played a bunnie today and had us hopping happily to her jumps. Not to worry my dear readers or animal activists (anyway she doesn't fall into that category), it was all professionally photographed at a chilly temperature of 20 deg Celcius which kept her nice and warm and not a Hot little hare. It was a gift from Eve's long time schoolmate whom had been harbouring hopes for us to get her glamour shot so that she can be a candidate for Anne Geddes designer baby winter collection. Don't ask me what for but I think Ellie stands a good chance with my bloody fine camera clicking skills, I must say...(smug face...) ...Shot with utmost precision to capture the essense of her beauty...yeah I know, what a load of bull... For the record, it was shot with a Panasonic Lumix LX1 which is almost 2 years old now.

Ellie @ 6 month old

Today marks the day Ellie was welcomed into the world exactly 6 calendar months ago. Back then she just 52cm long and weighed a hefty 3.47kg. Today, after 6mths of milk, a truckload of Pampers, enough poo to make you a good mud facial (for life), priceless happiness which she imparts to everyone around her, she now weighs 7.8kilos and 68centimeters tall. She has come a long way with us, changing and showing us the meaning of life, telling us in her own way how family and love should be like. In her innocent middling with the world and objects around herself, she fascinates us by keeping us enthralled with her behaviour. Many say this is the honeymoon period when they are the cutest and prior to her transformation into a cute little "see anything grab anything" mode. At this moment, we don't care because we are simply basking in her aura of happiness.

Happy 6 months Ellie Ellie pom pee pee...
