Operation Water Vortex Lamp

Today, firstly, there was a "formal complaint" that I did not include some acknowledgements so thats why you see the birth of this new post. Well... I don't want to name names but here goes....

Thanks for the wonderful curry chicken.....made specially by Cecilia aka Maria's mother who I believe reach the "zui gao jin jie" in creating this dish. Did I mention that I took this for breakfast the next day as well?

To the rest, its the thought that counts right? (Read between the lines...keke....)
Secondly, it was by popular demand that the picture of the Water Vortex Lamp be posted for immediate viewing so as you can see, it casts a unique glow over a water vortex phenomenon with various hues and ambience created. For the record, this is from my dearest who had procured it from the land down under and secretly shipped it over with the help of an accomplice who gathered the rest of the materials such as battery water aka distilled water for the operation of this little wonderful contraption. Thank you my dearest!!! I just love this surprise present which I had not expected at all. And also not forgetting the accomplice, thank you, you know who you are....

XMAS Lunch at our Home....

It was a wonderful lunch and the spread on the table went far beyond culinary capabilities of most normal humans, I think. I am sure all of you agree that the 1st prize for presentation went to the "Sushi Siesta" (thanks WK & Jimmy, it was fantastic to say the least). The efforts needed to make it astounded us and to match it, the desserts which Shawn and Jas made was also a brand new experience and Jas, it was really nice and sweetness level was perfect (maybe not for Mag though....). For me, the curry chicken was a personal favourite, it was a gastronomic experience and I am not exagerating cos I had it for dinner and breakfast the next day, serious.

The chicken mayo which many mistook for tuna mayo was also great to go with the pastry which at first glance looked tough but just melts in your mouth with that first munch. (LKY & Yen, it also went well with my bread.... :) My bro-in-law liked it very much too.

As for the log cake, I wouldn't even call it a log cake, I would name it a wonder cake. Looks so rich and sweet from the onset, but once you have that first taste in your mouth, you are just lost for words. Evidence was when told to share to the piece of cake, there were violent objections. Keke...

Not forgetting was the D.Y.O.P (Do Your Own Popiah) The ingredients were super standard quality and it was fun when Leon was getting lessons from those "experts" around him and he graduated with flying colours which he ate it all up...2 distinctions.

Last but not least was my dear's Char Bee Hoon (pun intended). Concluding remarks for your efforts dear " You are getting there.....just a little more tweaking needed " Haha...but to me its the greatest Bee Hoon because 2 of my dearest and fav people on this planet cooked it. This weekend fry again ok? Keke...

Ok so for my final thoughts, it had been a very fulfilling afternoon with all the warmth and happiness felt in the house and it climaxed with the gift exchange party which outlined what we all live for. TO share, be merry and be happy.
