Officially 31 today!!!!
hahaha....(Eve started off with the "hahaha" so that I just kept it there, in case she REALLY wanted that startoff statement)
So how does it feel like 31? Most of you wouldn't give a dime to know since nobody really likes the thought of getting older, well....at least most of us unless of course you are 17 going 18 where you can't wait to be officially old (how ironic) enough to enter Mambo Jumbo nite at Zouk or legally getting yourselves drunk, watch RA movies (ok..for the record, I have not seen any RA movies*...don't laugh, its true) and many other "fun" things at 18. Anyway, let's snap back to reality, I am 31 but frankly, its still peas waiting to bloom. Its a good chapter of my life and a third of the story written by fate and hard work. I can't really fault what has happened during this tumultous period (exageratting lah) but life has been fair and not to mention very good. I am blessed with a family who never fails to provide support to anyone especially when things get difficult moving forward, my Granny, Uncle, Auntie and Mai Po's have never looked back on us and gave the support selflessly when the need arose. Without them, this chapter would have been very difficult to complete as a major worry would have to be borne by me.
(this is getting to be like a speech).. And of course, Eve's family which are mine as well...sorry..don't know how to phrase it, of their inimitable family bond which is envied by me and of cos now I am part of the envy. They are wonderful ppl to say the least in more ways than one.
And of course my brother, sister, bro in law and sis in law who though far away, places a spot deep in my heart. My mum, who has been very patient with me for a long time coming, as always caring in motherly love fashion, nagging at us but all for our benefit which sometimes we do take for granted.
So for the best of the last on my birthday speech, the world's gift to me, my big and small darling. You know who they are and no words can express the emotions I go through at each and every special moment with them. There never will be words to explain, no words to describe the fortune and no language that can translate the heart's inner feelings for the love I am basking in every day of my life. The 3 words "I love you" can only scrape the tip of the iceberg which houses all the bliss.
Happy Day and smile everyone!
